Growers and fruit packers post available work opportunities on BC Fruit Works prior to, and throughout, the harvest season. These postings are for temporary, seasonal work, with gigs that may last from a couple of weeks to a couple of months or more, depending on need.
As a registered job seeker, you’ll receive text notifications of open gigs all season long, sent to you from Crew Driver, our technology partner, ensuring that you can easily find and apply for work that matches your availability. You can then choose to apply to those that are of interest to you.
Once the connection has been made through BC Fruit Works, the rest is between you and the employer. It works like any other job offering and application process.
Opportunities
Participating employers include cherry and apple orchards, vineyards, and fruit-packing houses. Seasonal work opportunities vary by the type of fruit and harvest periods, as shown below. Seasonal work may start and/or end earlier or later, depending on weather conditions.
